5 Best Web Browsers 2016

Best Web Browsers

If you are looking for best web browsers, you can stop now because you are at the right place. Today I'm going to show you 5 best web browsers for your computer.

Note: This list is for all computer users (that's why I didn't include Safari and the Edge in this list).

Let's dive into the list...

  • Google Chrome

Google Chrome Logo

It is the most popular browser in the world, there is no doubt about that. It is also one of the fastest browsers you can get. But it has a problem, it consumes a lot of RAM, that's the only bad thing about this browser.

But still, it is my favorite browser. Like most of the web browsers, it also offers syncing of bookmarks, browser history, passwords, open tabs, credit cards and addresses, themes, settings, apps, and extensions among Chrome users on Android, iOS, and desktop.

It also has built-in Adobe Flash and PDF support. There are a lot of useful extensions available in the chrome web store, but those extensions don't customize the browser as sharp as the Firefox extensions and themes can.

Normally extensions don't run in the private browsing mode, but if you want that, just go to the chrome://extensions/ and enable "Allow in incognito".

If your computer is being used by multiple people, you can go to the Users Section in the Settings page and add New Users. That way, they can use the same chrome browser as their own private browser (chrome user customization, web history, passwords, apps and etc.).

According to new reports, chrome is no longer the "first" in the performance, but in terms of security, Chrome is better than any other browsers.

  • Mozilla Firefox

Mozilla Firefox Logo

Mozilla Firefox is known for its great customizability. If you read a lot of articles on the web, you should use Firefox because it offers a useful function for readers -- Read Mode. When you visit a page with  a lot of text, the read mode icon will appear itself at the right of the address box, all you have to do is, click on it.

The new version of Firefox also has a feature called "Firefox Hello", it is like Skype, allows you to chat, browse, and share with your friends.

You know, Chrome doesn't have a social sharing button but Firefox does. It makes sharing more easy than before. And, I think every browser should have this capability built-in.

You already know that the Chrome eats a lot of RAM, Firefox also consumes a lot of RAM, but not that much as chrome does.

  • Vivaldi

Vivaldi Browser Logo

Vivaldi is the new player in town with the looks of Opera and Edge. The features of this browser can make anyone to ditch their old browsers. Even though the browser is still in its infancy, it is very efficient.

Best features of Vivaldi:
  • Tab stacking - Allows you to create a group of tabs simply by dropping one on top of the other.
  • Hovering over a tab displays a small preview.
  • Tab tiling - Allows you to tile the stacked tabs in one of a few preset configurations.
  • Open any closed tab easily from the "trash" icon in the upper right corner.
  • Notes - Allows you to save a snippet of text.
  • Web Panel - It is a small vertical sidebar you can configure to access the mobile version of a website. The best option for Twitter and Facebook feeds.
  • Page actions - Shows  a set of options that allows you to block ad-sized elements and iframes, change the page into black & white or grayscale or invert colors, unfocus elements on the screen, change the font into monospace, highlight focused elements, highlight hovered elements, skew images on the page, remove transitions, and turn the browser into a faux 3D object.
It is cool, isn't it?

  • Maxthon

Maxthon Browser Logo

Maxthon version 4.4 has the cloud download feature, but the new version doesn't have it. I don't know why they removed it from the browser, it was a useful feature.

Like any other browser in this list, it also has the ability to synchronize bookmarks, tabs, options, the address bar, passwords, new-tab links, and history among all Maxthon instances on computers and mobile devices you're logged into.

There is a feature in Maxthon called "Super Drag & Drop" that allows the user to open new pages and images or perform a web search by simply selecting, dragging, and dropping. It also allows you to take screenshots, download videos (even YouTube videos), and write notes.

The interface of this application looks a lot similar to the Opera browser.

  • Opera

Opera Browser Logo

Opera's new version (v38) comes with a new feature called "Power Saver Mode" that can save the battery power. when you enable it, it reduces background tab activities, pauses unused plugins, limits frame rate to 30 fps, optimizes the video playbacks, and pauses animations of themes.

Now it is very easy to add a new custom image or photo as the theme background in Opera, just open a new tab and click on the cogwheel icon in the upper right corner.

If your internet connection is too slow and you want to browse the web little bit faster, then enable Opera Turbo, you will see the magic of caching and page compression.
