Why You Should Have an Antivirus On Your Computer

Most people think that the antivirus softwares are only for those who do Internet banking, business and something like that. But that's not true, if you care about your privacy and security, you should install an antivirus software on your computer.

Antivirus softwares are not the ultimate security solution, they are just the first line of defense. Meaning, the overall security of your computer depends not just on the antivirus, but also on a number of things such as good browsing habits, regular system updating, your intellect, and etc.

Imagine, you don't have an antivirus on your computer, and you downloaded a piece of software that contains a malware. What will happen? Obviously, your computer will be infected and the malware may turn your computer into a slave (it will do anything for the master) or lock your files and then demand ransom.

If you don't want that to happen, do install an antivirus on your computer. I'm not saying that the antivirus programs can detect and remove all the malwares -- because believe it or not, they are not perfect. But they can definitely provide you an additional layer of protection.
